ONSM Ongoing Projects: Modernization and Infrastructure
As part of its development and security plan for Algerian territorial waters, the National Office of Maritime Signaling (Office National de Signalisation Maritime) is directing several major projects. Indeed, ONSM’s ongoing projects for the 2025–2026 period reflect a strong commitment to modernizing aids to navigation. For this reason, our technical teams are fully invested in rehabilitating architectural maritime heritage and reinforcing signaling infrastructure across all commercial ports, fishing harbors, and military terminals.
Overall Completion Rate of Signaling Infrastructure:
80%
Priority Works and Coastal Technical Deployments
Our teams are currently supervising major structural interventions across several of the country’s maritime facades. Consequently, these operations focus on three main pillars:
- Construction of Light Supports: Construction of nine (09) signaling light supports strategically distributed across the ports of Stora in Skikda (02), El Djamila in Algiers (02), Kristel in Oran (02), Gouraya in Tipaza (02), and Cherchell in Tipaza (01).
- Temporary Equipment: Additionally, the procurement of four (04) metallic supports for temporary lights ensures the uninterrupted continuity of signals during transitional phases.
